Personal Training and Food Prep
On training: As a busy wife and mother of two, I know that we spend so much time taking care of others that we forget to take care of ourselves. When I first started working with Holly, I hadn’t “worked out” in years and had a very poor diet. With Holly’s help, I devised a set of goals that I felt were important to me and Holly put me on the right path to accomplish them. She was just the right combination of motivation and expertise to help me get back on my feet and into the gym! I would recommend Holly’s services to any and every one. Six months later, I am 15 pounds lighter and much stronger, but most importantly I am healthier, happier and still motivated!
On Food Prep: It was so easy and wonderful to have Holly come into my home and do meal prep for me. I have an entire week’s worth of meals (five a day) prepared, portioned correctly and ready to go in my fridge and freezer. The food is healthy, delicious and requires no cooking, cleanup or grocery shopping! It’s also portioned into servings so there is no guesswork left; I grab a container heat it up and enjoy a healthy, fresh homemade meal. Because the food is fresh and not frozen boxes of unappetizing recreations of the real deal, it is the foods I crave, seasoned to my taste with the seasonings I desire. I highly recommend this service to anyone because it takes all the guesswork out of eating healthy and requires minimal time and effort. A service well worth its value many times over!

Tour Manager for Eric Lee Beddingfeild.
Training program and Food Prep
As a professional tour manager, time is of the essence for me. I needed to get in shape, but didn’t have hrs to dedicate to the gym and to the kitchen. Not only were the workouts Holly designed for Eric (my artist) and I intense and too the point, they didn’t have us in the gym for 3 hrs a day! She even made a program for us to use while on the road that required no gym. We were able to push each other with the workout program, but struggled with the diet plan part of things. I didn’t have the time or knowledge to make the meal plans happen, and that’s where the food prep service came in. It was perfect, not only did I not have to think about counting calories, measuring portions, wondering what I could and couldn’t eat, but I didn’t even have to worry about going to the store and picking out healthy options. Kaizen Concepts took care of it all, and left me with a perfectly outline planned for both training, and nutrition. The food was fresh, catered to my tastes and delicious, there was a variety, and I even had desserts! The printed menu left on the refrigerator, full of prepped and portioned food made the whole process foolproof. You can’t go wrong when you have this kind of program, along with the support and preparation behind it. The results speak for themselves!

CHRISTINA MILLHEIM
Personal Training and Nutrition Program.
Hi! My name is Christina. I am a former contestant of 107.5 The River/Woody & Jim’s Biggest Loser (March 2011). I have known Holly for at least 3 years. Earlier this year, I entered into a radio contest. People who wanted into the contest had to submit a picture on The River’s website and tell the public why they should be chosen to be in the top 10 for the contest. I entered, and I won! I didn’t really know what to expect for this contest. I wasn’t sure how Woody & Jim were going to recreate the famous Biggest Loser show. Turns out, they wanted me and the other two contestants to come to the radio station to weigh in once a week for three weeks, film webisodes of the weigh ins, and give info on our plans and on how we were going to win the contest. Well, when it came for my turn to tell how I planned on winning the contest, I really wasn’t sure how I was going to win the contest. I basically told Woody & Jim that I was going to go to the gym more regularly than I had been and watch what I eat. I think it was the night I saw the first webisode posted on youtube and saw what the other two contestants were planning on doing and how much smaller they were compared to me when I contacted Holly. I knew Holly could and would help me. If anyone knows Holly, you know how “big” she is about contests in the fitness area. So needless to say she was more than happy to help! J Holly emailed me my food plan which was strictly CLEAN EATING! She said for the purpose of the contest things would be a little more accelerated than on a normal plan, and since it was only for 3 weeks it would not compromise my health or metabolism at all. She kept going back to that, saying contest or no contest, my health came first and didn’t recommend any crazy diet pills, or anything else extreme that would jeopardize my wellbeing. That put me at ease. The plan was HARD training, and CLEAN eating. We trained on a regular basis during those weeks. Holly really motivated me. She knew when to push and when to give me a (little) break. By the end of 3 weeks I was doing things I could barely do at the begging, and some that I couldn’t do at all, like burpees and uphill sprints! The contest was really close – we were all within 1-2% of one another in lost body weight percentages (even though I had lost the most weight in pounds). In the end of it all, I was still a winner because I managed to make a few fat cells cry while gaining back my health and confidence. Because I followed Holly’s food plan and workout regime, I lost 29 pounds in 21 days! During those 21 days, I never steered away from the plan, which was tough, but worth the results. After the contest we merged into a more gradual approach and dialed back training a bit, while adding in more variety and flexibility to the diet, a more permanent and maintainable lifestyle. I continued to train and get stronger and stronger, mentally and physically. Each workout was as much about building my mentality as it was my body, and that is something I don’t think you get from most trainers. Holly addresses the whole big picture, from emotional, mental, physical and physiological. I am living proof that if you stay on a plan like this, hard work and clean eating truly work, and I am continuing my journey to my goals every day. It’s not all counting calories, magic formulas and gimic exercise machines, so stop buying into that everyone. Holly, no words could ever express my gratitude towards you for everything that you have instilled in me in this fitness and health world. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing friend and trainer in my life! Thank you!

As an experienced collegiate athlete and self taught fitness junkie I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical before I began training with Holly. I had completed the Beach Body Insanity workouts and P90X and wasn't sure the intensity level would be there. Boy was I wrong! Equally important was Holly's knowledge of nutrition. Her comprehensive approach to fitness uses cutting edge research with the right mix of "old school" toughness to push you to reach your goals. I highly recommend Kaizen Concepts to anyone looking to reach their fitness goals!

My Personal Story
DETAILS OF PAST EXPERIENCES:
I have been trying to "gain control" of both my body and my life for approximately 15 years now. I learned early on in my life how to use food as a form of comfort and/or avoidance from feeling emotions, which has always been a very difficult habit to break. Every time something would be going on in my life, I was either restricting food or I was overeating, which left my weight and my emotions fluctuating back and forth. For many years, I used diet pills out of desperation to lose the weight that I either thought was there that wasn't, or to lose the extra weight that I gained as a result of my emotional eating binges. This roller coaster ride of gaining and losing weight, back and forth for so many years, left me feeling out of control both mentally, physically, and emotionally. I felt so off-balance and I knew that I couldn't continue to go on like this, but I felt so hopeless because I thought I tried everything already (psychotherapy, medication, hypnotherapy, acupuncture, herbal remedy, diet pills, low carb diet, low fat diet, + a nutritionist). Then I met Holly and everything changed for me.
HOW WAS THIS DIFFERENT?:
In all of my previous attempts at getting healthy, I always assumed that the only exercise for me to do was to speed walk as often as possible and for as long as possible. In the past, that was the only way I had experienced "success"; but what I realize now is that kind of success isn't how I measure success anymore. What I learned is that success isn't just about losing weight in any way that I can...success is about finally letting go of the expectations that I had for myself, to always be at that "acceptable weight". I stopped focusing on what the scale said and started focusing on rebuilding my body. Holly used the analogy that really stuck with me: "it's like we're breaking down the foundation of your house, and rebuilding it...it's the same thing with your body, we are rebuilding your body". I added resistance training into my life, which has given me a whole new perspective. I always thought that resistance training was only for women who wanted to do competitions and have huge, yucky muscles. Holly helped to educate me by sharing her knowledge on health and strength training, as well as encouraging me to read magazines such as Oxygen. I began resistance training, along with a proper diet that included "clean eating", which was a new concept to me. I learned that eating clean was a process, it wouldn't happen over night, but it was a goal to strive towards. Holly helped me to "clean up" my diet one thing at a time. I believe that this really helped contribute to my success because it didn't feel like I had to change everything all at once. For example, I was still able to drink my very unhealthy cappuccinos (loaded with all sugar and caffeine), but added 1/3 black coffee to it. Then a week later, added 1/2 black coffee, and then finally I was at 3/4 black coffee topped with the cappuccino and then had some stevia to sweeten it up. This was a huge change for me considering I always hated plain coffee!! These small changes added up to a big change...a lifestyle change!
Now, being "successful" is to wake up at 5:30am to go to the gym and do strength training, even when I don't WANT to get up that early. Or choosing to eat veggies with a grilled chicken breast instead of that burger, not because it sounds better at the time but because I truly understand what the outcome of that choice will be for me. Something that I learned from Holly that has been instrumental in my success is this understanding: that this new lifestyle won't always feel great. It’s not all easy any fun, but can you really expect results from something that says “lose weight without dieting or exercising”? If it always felt good and comfortable, everyone would have it down and no one would be overweight and unhealthy! There are plenty of days when I don't want to wake up early or I'd rather eat something that tastes better...but I make a conscience decision to do what I need to do solely because of the results that will come from it, and that DOES feel good. Cleaning up my diet took care of a lot of unhealthy cravings, and there is flexibility in the plan so I don’t feel like I never get to have my favorite foods! Between balancing food intake, and adding strength training, I have more energy than ever before, and am stronger both mentally and physically. Overall, although it was a process, this has been a true lifestyle change and I would take that over promises of quick fixes and fad diets any day!

I have been training with Holly for 8 weeks and I am so proud to have her as my personal trainer. Holly has gotten me so excited about working out. I genuinely look forward to our sessions together. From the start, while she has pushed me to do things I've never done before, she has also taken the time to listen to my concerns and help me through everything. She's always very attentive and even though she has multiple clients to deal with every day, I never feel like I'm put on the back burner.
Along with great workouts, Holly has helped me with my nutrition by giving me food plans. She is very educated and she definitely knows what she's talking about. She always has the answers to all my questions. During our workouts, she always takes the time to explain things to me and if I ever have trouble with something, she works through it with me until I understand. Holly is patient with me and she's very reliable. She's very passionate about her work and that shines through during her training sessions, and I have learned a lot by working with her.
I have seen great results while working with Holly and using her program. I have lost weight and several inches on pretty much every area of my body. I've never seen results like this before and I know it's all because of Holly's help. I plan to continue to work with her for a very long time and I'm so excited to finish my journey with Holly as my trainer.
